ADELMO GUIDARELLI (baritone)

 

Adelmo Guidarelli has worked with such operatic legends as Licia Albanese, Luciano Pavarotti, Gulietta Simionato, Sherrill Milnes and Robert Merrill. He is a graduate of Metropolitan Opera basso Jerome Hines career development program, Opera Music Theater International. Currently, he is working with William Riley and Tony Harnell of the rock band TNT.


 Mr. Guidarelli has performed with great success in Europe as Uberto in La Serva Padrona with Opera Evreux of France, and as soloist in Orffs Carmina Burana at The Bach to Bartok festival in Imola, Italy as well as in Spain, Portugal and Germany. Adelmo also performed in Gibraltar as a finalist in the Altamura/Caruso International Voice Competition and was a finalist of the Luciano Pavarotti International Voice Competition. In November of 2003, he was a featured soloist on a German childrens CD called "Der Kleine Tanzbar Schubidu."

 

In the United States, he appeared as Silvio in I Pagliacci with the Palm Beach Opera under Maestro Anton Guadgano; Valentine in Faust under Maestro Julius Rudel; Marcello in La Boheme and Figaro in The Barber of Seville for The Altamura Summer Music Festival, which was directed by Licia Albanese and Mario Bertolino. Mr. Guidarelli has begun to produce his first solo CD beginning in April of 2005.


In his as-yet still young career, he has won career grants from The Schuyler Foundation for Career Bridges, The Amadeus Fund, The Bloomfield chapter of UNICO, The New Jersey Alliance for Performing Artists, The Caruso International Voice Competition and from Richard and Donna Esteves.
