The New Jersey State Opera Guild, a group of dedicated citizens concerned with the promotion of the New Jersey State Opera's continued acclaimed performances and awareness of opera throughout the state, is looking to form new chapters of the Guild in every county of New Jersey.

We  continue to develop our audiences through Guild programs and "Operalogues." Join us and become a member today. If your county does not have a New Jersey State Opera Guild chapter, start one today.

The New Jersey State Opera Guild supports the Opera Company through fund-raising and community outreach.

New Jersey State Opera Guild activities cover a wide range of interests, including:

• Concerts

• Dinners at area restaurants

• Musicales with entertainment provided by the music staff and young artists of the New Jersey State Opera

• Cocktail parties in private homes

• Master Classes

• Charity shopping days

• Receptions in private homes

• Fashion shows

• Sing-a-longs with refreshments

• and Operaloges (informal discussions of upcoming productions with musical excerpts from the opera).

Guild members provide and serve refreshments for the cast, orchestra, and chorus at rehearsal pauses during the last hectic week before a  production. These evening "coffee, tea, and cookie breaks" give Guild members a chance to meet and talk to the performers informally, and to see the inner workings of the world of grand opera.
